Ephesians 2:2 … in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,…
As Believers, we shouldn\’t be ignorant of where we had been before the Grace of salvation rescued us. We were disobedient, controlled by the lust of our flesh and pawns in the hands of the evils that controlled the air in this world. These are powers that have ruled the earth since the ceding of the authority of man. They are still in operation; dictating the acts of people who don\’t know The LORD and fighting the saints of Christ. But again, as Believers, we need to remain confident of the fact that we are victorious amidst all. No power of the enemy can be able to harm us nor harm our destinies if we remain steadfast in our convictions.
We must strive to remain unshaken in tempest storms, be resolute in our commitments to loving The LORD and stand stable in our profession. We must know that The LORD will save us in the end. I pray peace upon your soul. Even in the tempests of life, May the peace of God that surpasses every human understanding continue to garrison your heart and mind steadfastly, in Jesus\’ Name!
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,…
Indeed we were dead in sins and not worth it when The LORD of Glory came down in the form of a man to save us. The God of all creations risked His very existence when He came down. In the state of mortality, He could have easily lost His own estate in all creation, but He chose to risk it. This act is proof of the very depths of affections The LORD has for every humanity.
In response, those who have believed have been given the life of God as John 1v12 declares, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” Being called into the life is a call to death to everything mortal. We must be willing to live the life of risk, risking an already perishing estate of mortality to live the life of God – the life to which we have been called. We could never indeed and truly do this entirely by own decisions and power, so again He gifts us the Holy Spirit to keep us strong on this path and on this decision. This shows our frailty and reliance. Indeed, we must come to that point in Galatians 2v20, then boldly, we will stand with the Apostle in declaring, “though we live, yet not us!”
May this power of the Great God manifested through the Holy Spirit’s energizing in our inner man continually wax stronger upon each and everyone of us, in Jesus Name!
…which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
The Church is the Body of Christ. And The LORD fills every member of the Body through the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Just as in the natural, the effectivity of any human is based on the effectivity of every single part, the working of the Spirit through every single member of the Body is what keeps the Body active and strong. Hence, as members of one body, we must be willing and actively partner with the Holy Spirit to discern our true parts in the larger Body. And when we do, we must put in the effort from every quarters to be as effective as we could be, thus striving for a fulfillment of the higher call to which we have been called. While we do so, we can truly begin to behold The LORD’s body on earth as it is Heaven. This is as true for individuals as it is for organized groups within our common faith – local Churches and Christian organizations.
By the power of the Holy Ghost, may The LORD strengthen us on this journey and may He cause us to become more effective on this holy path, in Jesus’ Name!
And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,…
The Church is the called out of God. We are called out to be instruments of the purposes of God. The Church is headed by The LORD Jesus Christ Himself and any earthly figure that seeks to position itself as head of the Church universal is an abomination.
The LORD Jesus is head of all creations. His position and dominion is ordained by the Father Almighty. He became a High Priest for all of creation upon His resurrection. He is head over the Church of the called out ones. Whenever a soul comes to God through Christ Jesus then, he is added to the Church and The LORD Jesus becomes his head. And as members of the Church, we must always seek to be found in Him, then we can indeed be called His own.
May the power of the Holy Ghost continually strengthen us, providing us with encouragements on this path, in Jesus’ Name!
…far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
We have been seated in Christ who is seated in heaven far above every power. Not just literally, this is also symbolically, our position in life, after we have come to an experiential knowledge of Jesus is a position that is beyond any other thing or person.
The power that now works within us is the true power of dominion over all creations. The very power responsible for anything and everything created is not only deposited in us, but we have become ambassadors of that very power. Hallelujah. Do we indeed believe this very truth? Our lives must be lived as an expression of this very truth if we believe indeed. There must be a performance of those things which we believe if indeed we believed.
May the God of Heaven and the Master of our salvation sustain of testimony of belief in this truth by the manifestation of results equal to our faith, in Jesus’ Name!
…which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,…
The power that worked in Christ and brought him back to life is the same power that works in us.
The Holy Spirit of God indwells us at rebirth. He is with us all the time, but He will never force Himself nor the will of God down our throats. However, one thing you can be sure of is that, due to the depth of love He has for us, He will constantly remind us of His gentle Presence everytime. The LORD desires to find full expression in our lives, making our lives vehicles of His power and glory but this will always remain a desire if we refuse to take practical steps that will unleash His wonder works in and through us. Demons override the will of men, but God respects them. Hence, inasmuch as He desires and it definitely does break His heart that He does not find vessels, He will always respect the will He has given us.
Take note that, until our will and desires align with divine purposes, our lives, even though this Great Power indwells us, will remain powerless and void of the results of a resurrected life.
In Jesus’ Name, I pray for you that The LORD will find a worthy vessel in you by the sacrifices of atonement!
… and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power …
When our eyes of understanding and revelation is indeed opened, we will truly begin to behold the mighty working power of God in and through our lives. These are not fables, neither are they far-fetched from us who have confessed Jesus Christ as our LORD, not just in words but also in deeds. God’s power is exceedingly great!
Even more, in our lives, this power is exceedingly greater since His power is set out to destroy limitations, break down strongholds of mindsets and root out all negative thoughts in order to produce in us a glorification that is befitting ambassadors of the Eternal One. I really do hope we understand this fundamental teaching. For God so loved us that He set His power at work in us exceedingly until our lives become an epitome of His eternal glory!
Hallelujah!
This is the basic calling of the average Believer – this expression of the power of God is not a reserve of specialized ministers, but the realm for any Believer to walk in because indeed God desires to find expression in us. Oh yes! He is desperate to do so just as much as He desperately sent His only begotten Son to bring back a perishing people that we were. We must believe and we must act in faith, agreeing with what we have heard, and we will unleash the power of God deposited in our regenerated spirits.
May The LORD, through His Spirit at work in us, fan our zeal until we indeed become a manifestation of the King’s glory here on earth.
…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,…
God is hidden in light. He hides so kings can seek Him. God’s glory is hidden in the plain sight of men, but kings find them (see Proverbs 25v2).
The Spirit of wisdom is the expression of the Holy Spirit that gives insight into the very actions that should taken at every moment pertaining anything. This expression gives us enablement to talk and act in the class of God. God is never at a loss as to what to do, therefore we who number with Him can’t be at loss too. It’s my prayer that this expression of Spirit gets unlocked in your life this day this moment in Jesus’ Name!
The Spirit of revelations is the expression of this same Holy Spirit that enables men to possess the mind of God. This expression helps men to have a grasp of the consciousness of God towards a matter. Who is he that knoweth the mind of a man? Except his spirit? (see 1 Corinthians 2v11)
In the Name of Jesus’, may this ability rest on you who is reading this. May The LORD thoroughly furnish with light that you possess a radiating presence wherever you step. Amen!
…do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
Thanksgiving and an ever unceasing prayer is one of the many expectations that have been committed to us as Believers in these times. Indeed, “…can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is around?…(see Matthew 9v15) ” In prayers, we are called to lay our mourns, thanking God for everything all the way.
Prayer is a platform where we have the empowerment to decide what should happen in our world. In prayers, the Holy Spirit legitimately finds a way to come and help us take all the decisions (even the ‘hard’ ones) that will promote the coming Kingdom and our safety in this present chaos.
A major characteristic in our prayer times should be the opportunity to elaborately express thanksgiving, honour and adoration to the Most High through His Spirit that sustains us everyday.
While we pray, we should also always keep our friends in rememberance and serve as intercessors for them as well. And the Good Lord will help us all in Jesus’ Name!
Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,…
Faith is key in our walk with God in these times. It has always been the foundation of any true relationship with God. For by faith shall the just live. Faith in God brings great rest to our souls. True faith militates against every form of restlessness that anxieties may bring upon our souls. Indeed, what a great a privilege it is to carry everything to God in prayer – in faith!
As important as faith is, we must walk in great admiration and love for our Brethren. It is very strange to confess a true love for an unseen God when we cannot truly love our Brethren whom we see everytime. It must be our daily prayer to seek and grow in love toward men inasmuch as we grow in love for the things that pertain our coming King and His Kingdom. Love for our Brethren will help us become more compassionate and forbearing to the excesses of those that come close to us. Love is the most powerful force in the universe. It is the virtue that compelled God to leave His office of supremacy over all creation to come into a world that is just a speck of dust in all creation. We must indeed seek to know, understand and walk in this love.
May The LORD by His Holy Spirit in us give us Grace to walk in this great virtue, in Jesus’ Name!
