And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,…

Indeed we were dead in sins and not worth it when The LORD of Glory came down in the form of a man to save us. The God of all creations risked His very existence when He came down. In the state of mortality, He could have easily lost His own estate in all creation, but He chose to risk it. This act is proof of the very depths of affections The LORD has for every humanity.
In response, those who have believed have been given the life of God as John 1v12 declares, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” Being called into the life is a call to death to everything mortal. We must be willing to live the life of risk, risking an already perishing estate of mortality to live the life of God – the life to which we have been called. We could never indeed and truly do this entirely by own decisions and power, so again He gifts us the Holy Spirit to keep us strong on this path and on this decision. This shows our frailty and reliance. Indeed, we must come to that point in Galatians 2v20, then boldly, we will stand with the Apostle in declaring, “though we live, yet not us!”
May this power of the Great God manifested through the Holy Spirit’s energizing in our inner man continually wax stronger upon each and everyone of us, in Jesus Name!
Amen
