Examining the Book of Ephesians – Day 20

Ephesians 1:20

…which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,…

The power that worked in Christ and brought him back to life is the same power that works in us.

The Holy Spirit of God indwells us at rebirth. He is with us all the time, but He will never force Himself nor the will of God down our throats. However, one thing you can be sure of is that, due to the depth of love He has for us, He will constantly remind us of His gentle Presence everytime. The LORD desires to find full expression in our lives, making our lives vehicles of His power and glory but this will always remain a desire if we refuse to take practical steps that will unleash His wonder works in and through us. Demons override the will of men, but God respects them. Hence, inasmuch as He desires and it definitely does break His heart that He does not find vessels, He will always respect the will He has given us.

Take note that, until our will and desires align with divine purposes, our lives, even though this Great Power indwells us, will remain powerless and void of the results of a resurrected life.

In Jesus’ Name, I pray for you that The LORD will find a worthy vessel in you by the sacrifices of atonement!

Hallelujah!

Examining the Book of Ephesians – Day 19

Ephesians 1.19

… and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power …

When our eyes of understanding and revelation is indeed opened, we will truly begin to behold the mighty working power of God in and through our lives. These are not fables, neither are they far-fetched from us who have confessed Jesus Christ as our LORD, not just in words but also in deeds. God’s power is exceedingly great!

Even more, in our lives, this power is exceedingly greater since His power is set out to destroy limitations, break down strongholds of mindsets and root out all negative thoughts in order to produce in us a glorification that is befitting ambassadors of the Eternal One. I really do hope we understand this fundamental teaching. For God so loved us that He set His power at work in us exceedingly until our lives become an epitome of His eternal glory!

Hallelujah!

This is the basic calling of the average Believer – this expression of the power of God is not a reserve of specialized ministers, but the realm for any Believer to walk in because indeed God desires to find expression in us. Oh yes! He is desperate to do so just as much as He desperately sent His only begotten Son to bring back a perishing people that we were. We must believe and we must act in faith, agreeing with what we have heard, and we will unleash the power of God deposited in our regenerated spirits.

May The LORD, through His Spirit at work in us, fan our zeal until we indeed become a manifestation of the King’s glory here on earth.

Hallelujah!

Examining the Book of Ephesians – Day 17

Ephesians 1v17

…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,…

God is hidden in light. He hides so kings can seek Him. God’s glory is hidden in the plain sight of men, but kings find them (see Proverbs 25v2).

The Spirit of wisdom is the expression of the Holy Spirit that gives insight into the very actions that should taken at every moment pertaining anything. This expression gives us enablement to talk and act in the class of God. God is never at a loss as to what to do, therefore we who number with Him can’t be at loss too. It’s my prayer that this expression of Spirit gets unlocked in your life this day this moment in Jesus’ Name!

The Spirit of revelations is the expression of this same Holy Spirit that enables men to possess the mind of God. This expression helps men to have a grasp of the consciousness of God towards a matter. Who is he that knoweth the mind of a man? Except his spirit? (see 1 Corinthians 2v11)

In the Name of Jesus’, may this ability rest on you who is reading this. May The LORD thoroughly furnish with light that you possess a radiating presence wherever you step. Amen!

Examining the Book of Ephesians – Day 16

Ephesians 1v16

…do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:

Thanksgiving and an ever unceasing prayer is one of the many expectations that have been committed to us as Believers in these times. Indeed, “…can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is around?…(see Matthew 9v15) ” In prayers, we are called to lay our mourns, thanking God for everything all the way.

Prayer is a platform where we have the empowerment to decide what should happen in our world. In prayers, the Holy Spirit legitimately finds a way to come and help us take all the decisions (even the ‘hard’ ones) that will promote the coming Kingdom and our safety in this present chaos.

A major characteristic in our prayer times should be the opportunity to elaborately express thanksgiving, honour and adoration to the Most High through His Spirit that sustains us everyday.

While we pray, we should also always keep our friends in rememberance and serve as intercessors for them as well. And the Good Lord will help us all in Jesus’ Name!

Shalom.

Examining the Book of Ephesians – Day 15

Ephesians 1v15

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,…

Faith is key in our walk with God in these times. It has always been the foundation of any true relationship with God. For by faith shall the just live. Faith in God brings great rest to our souls. True faith militates against every form of restlessness that anxieties may bring upon our souls. Indeed, what a great a privilege it is to carry everything to God in prayer – in faith!

As important as faith is, we must walk in great admiration and love for our Brethren. It is very strange to confess a true love for an unseen God when we cannot truly love our Brethren whom we see everytime. It must be our daily prayer to seek and grow in love toward men inasmuch as we grow in love for the things that pertain our coming King and His Kingdom. Love for our Brethren will help us become more compassionate and forbearing to the excesses of those that come close to us. Love is the most powerful force in the universe. It is the virtue that compelled God to leave His office of supremacy over all creation to come into a world that is just a speck of dust in all creation. We must indeed seek to know, understand and walk in this love.

May The LORD by His Holy Spirit in us give us Grace to walk in this great virtue, in Jesus’ Name!

Amen!

Examining the Book of Ephesians – Day 14

Ephesians 1:14

…who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

The Holy Spirit of Promise is sent as a seal unto us who are being saved. As I observed on Day 13, this seal is not unbreakable despite it’s eternal strength. The seal of the Spirit can be broken upon our lives by a human will that is unsubmissive to the work of sanctification. However, the results of our wrestle with every mindset and carnal desire in us is that the Seal of The LORD is strengthened, becoming an eternal guarantee upon our lives that indeed, we are The LORD’s.

When we truly respond to the call to come to Christ, He takes us as we are, broods over us until we become as He is because He intends us to become object of His praise on earth and among creation. The same Jesus that was crucified on a tree in so much shame has been made unto us our glory. The wisdom that brought forth this reality is confounded, but will we have enough faith to partake of this reality?

May Grace be multiplied unto us untill we come into the fullness of this reality, in Jesus’ Name. When indeed we come into this reality, we will walk this earth like gods and we will not suffer the shames and disgraces that come upon mortal men (see Psalms 82v7)

Peace unto us all.

Examining the Book of Ephesians – Day 13

Ephesians 1:13

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

At a very personal level, in my first encounters with the ‘once saved, forever saved’ crew, this very scripture was often referenced. That, the Believer’s fate has been sealed! – sealed with the Holy Spirit! Oh hallelujah! How misconstrued the Bible could be in the minds of unwilling men!

Yes. There is a sealing, but this sealing is not a sealing that could never be broken. There are evidences of people breaking this seal. Scripturally, we have an example in Demas who according to Apostle Paul chased after the present world by abandoning the Apostle (see 2 Timothy 4v10) . Psalms 115v16 declares, “… but the earth has he given to the children of men”. Having founded His Throne on the virtues of righteousness and justice (see Psalms 89v14), it will therefore be unjust and unrighteous for God to evade the will of men. Men are not robots; we are decisive entities equipped with the divine instrument to will. The LORD desires all to be saved, but indeed, throughout human history, we all can bear witness that not all will be saved. Hard as it may sound, it is the truth in all sincerity.

The Gospel of Salvation is truth. The truth is, God loved this world so much that He willingly gave up His estate that He may gain men, though we were not worth it. This is the greatest demonstration of love! God came to men as a man, and as a man, He gave up His life for other men. And if indeed we believe Him on this wise, we should never be hesitant surrendering all to Him. It is while we wrestle with every mindset and every innate desire in us to truly demonstrate our belief in His act of love, we will become truly sealed – sealed by the sealing power of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!

As long as we abide in this realm of earth, the wrestling with mindsets and desires will ever be our calling. This place is a battle-field. So then, the popular apostle said, “…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (see Philippians 2v10)

May the power of God continually rest upon us on this holy call, in Jesus’ Name!

Amen!

Examining the Book of Ephesians – Day 12

Ephesians 1v12

… that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

For Christ in us is the hope of glory. It is for glorification that we have redemption. As wonderful as the promises of redemption are to us, it has never been in the nature of God to simply deliver and then abandon us to ourselves. He delivers us from the kingdom of darkness and plants us in the kingdom of light (see Colossians 1v27). He gives us the privilege to be called His Children, adopted through the purchase of the Blood, into the family of God.

When we come to Jesus, we must wrestle with every mindset in us until our mindsets come under subjection to the knowledge of God through Christ Jesus. Naturally, we were vagabonds, possessing understandings that conflicted with the very nature of God. Hence, for us to truly and evidentially receive of the nature of God, we must take sides with the Holy Ghost as He dethrones every mentality in us, supplanting them with the mentality of God.

In Jesus’ Name, may the power of God continue to rest upon us, enabling our feeble members with great strength until every high thing that exalts itself above the knowledge of Christ is dethroned.

Hallelujah!

Examining the Book of Ephesians – Day 11

Ephesians 1:11

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,…

The Believer’s hope is entirely rested in Christ Jesus – The LORD and summation of all things created. For our hope to truly deliver results unto us, it must be rested in the sufficiency of Christ. This is why we are always encouraged to remain steadfast and connected the LORD throughout our existence.

Predestination means having been completed in time past before the time of manifestation. Before the foundations of the earth, the lamb of God has been slain. It is with same understanding we must perceive our position in Christ; we are called to be instruments in the hand of our God fashioned for His purposes.

Hallelujah

For I know the thoughts I have for you (Jer. 29v11), the Holy Books assure us that we have been called unto God even before we were born. Being predestined therefore means we must always go back to the Holder of our original template or to the Creator who fashioned us. This really does not make sense in the light of the exhortation for all men to pray and not faint.

May The LORD strengthen us.
