“Strike while the iron is hot!”
A clarion call is ringing out across the Body of Christ, a divine invitation to seize every opportunity and move swiftly in obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit. There is an urgency in this hour. Heaven is extending an invitation to God’s people to recognize the moment and respond without hesitation.
The phrase “strike while the iron is hot” originates from the work of a blacksmith who shapes and forges metal while it is heated and pliable. In the same way, God is calling His people to act when He opens a door, presents an opportunity, or releases a fresh word. We are to move with Him while the season is ripe, allowing His hand to mold and shape circumstances according to His divine purpose.
A catalyst is being released in the Spirit, an acceleration that initiates heavenly movement and Kingdom advancement.
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth…”
Isaiah 55:10-11
Everything God does is strategic and purposeful. When iron cools and hardens, it becomes more difficult to shape. Likewise, opportunities missed can become opportunities delayed. Therefore, take hold of every God-given moment. The Lord is heating things up!
This is a season of fresh encounters, divine impartations, and supernatural advancement. A favorable era is emerging. The Kingdom of God is moving forward with power and purpose.
Strike the ground. Do not stop. Release the arrow.
Just as Elisha instructed King Joash to shoot the arrow of deliverance, the Lord is calling His people to persevere in faith and obedience. Now is not the time to hold back. It is time to plunder the works of darkness and advance the purposes of the Kingdom.
“To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God…”
Isaiah 61:2
I sense that storms of change are approaching. Be willing to move spontaneously with the Spirit of God. His hand is upon ours.
Just as Elisha placed his hands upon the king’s hands and instructed him to shoot through the east window, I believe a significant East Window has opened in this season—a prophetic dawn revealing fresh strategy, fresh vision, and fresh warfare assignments.
Do not fall short of arrows.
The iron is hot.
The time is now.
The Kingdom Tree is sending its roots deeper into the earth, while darkness is being plundered and displaced by the advancing Light of Christ.
Another dimension of striking while the iron is hot is found in Kingdom hearing. When the Lord speaks, hear His voice the first time and respond. Obedience creates momentum. As we act upon His Word, greater revelation follows.
A pattern of obedience becomes a catalyst for transformation and positions us for the new moves of God.
We are being formed into the image of Christ. As our minds are renewed and aligned with Heaven, we become increasingly responsive to His leading and purpose.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
Romans 12:2
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory…”
2 Corinthians 3:18
The Light of the World is advancing into places of darkness. The Gospel of the Kingdom remains the unshakable standard. The Lord of Hosts marches forward as a Mighty Warrior. His Word is like fire and like a hammer that breaks the rock into pieces. His truth prevails, His light overcomes, and His Word softens the hardest of hearts.
“Take a bow and some arrows… Put your hand on the bow.” So he put his hand on it, and Elisha put his hands on the king’s hands. Then he said, “Open the east window”; and he opened it. Then Elisha said, “Shoot”; and he shot.”
2 Kings 13:15-17
The call remains:
Strike while the iron is hot. Move when He says move. Release the arrow. Advance the Kingdom.
The Lord is forging His people for such a time as this.
