“This is what the LORD says: ‘Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.’” Jeremiah 6:16
There is a call of the Spirit in this hour to return to the Ancient Paths, the paths established in the eternal purposes of God.
Psalm 23 speaks of the paths of righteousness, and David prayed:
“Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths.” Psalm 25:4
Many are standing at spiritual crossroads, at places of transition, decision, and divine realignment. Yet I believe the Lord is revealing that the crossroads are not merely places of uncertainty; they are places of encounter and surrender. At the centre of every true spiritual crossroads stands the finished work of the Cross.
The invitation remains: Choose the narrow way. Choose the Ancient Path. Choose the pathway paved with His righteousness.
The Ancient Paths speak of the eternal ways and purposes of God. Throughout Scripture, we see the footprints of those who walked by faith before us—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, Elijah, and the prophets. Their lives carried the prophetic patterns and promises that ultimately pointed toward Jesus Christ.
Through the generations, the scarlet thread of redemption was woven through history, leading humanity toward the Cross.
Christ fulfilled what the Law and the prophets foreshadowed. The written code that stood against us was taken away and nailed to the Cross (Colossians 2:14). We are no longer justified by the works of the Law but are called to walk by faith, through grace, in the righteousness of Christ.
The New Testament word for walk is peripateō—to walk about, to conduct one’s life, and to live within a particular sphere of existence.
The Ancient Path, therefore, is not merely something we study.
It is something we walk.
It is a spiritual existence lived in Christ.
The expression ancient paths is also an appeal to remembrance. It calls us to remember the faithfulness of God throughout the generations.
When we partake of Holy Communion, we enter into this sacred remembrance:
“Do this in remembrance of Me.”
The table of the Lord is an Ancient Path—established by Jesus, carrying eternal significance and continually proclaiming His death until He comes again.
Yet as I pondered the Ancient Paths, another phrase arose strongly within my spirit:
ANCIENT DROPS!
I believe there are mantles, assignments, and anointings—carrying the spiritual patterns of old—that are being released again for the purposes of God in this generation.
Like the mantle that fell from Elijah and was taken up by Elisha, I see Ancient Drops—extraordinary manifestations of divine empowerment falling upon those prepared to carry the purposes of God.
These are not attempts to recreate the past.
They are eternal Kingdom patterns being revealed afresh.
Ancient mantles.
Fresh oil.
New wine.
Living Epistles.
Kingdom manifestations.
The eternal purposes of God are intersecting with the present generation.
There is also an interchanging ministry between the House of Wine and the Vineyard—the gathered Church and the Church sent into the world. The Kingdom Gospel must move beyond the walls and flow outward into the nations.
At Cana, Jesus turned water into wine.
It was His first recorded miracle and a prophetic sign of transformation.
The ordinary became extraordinary.
The natural encountered the supernatural.
The water of purification became the wine of celebration.
And the best wine was reserved until the appointed time.
I believe there is a prophetic significance for the Body of Christ:
The Best Wine is for now.
It speaks of the revealed glory of transformation in Christ.
Jesus entered an ancient setting of stone water vessels and transformed what they contained. He did not come to destroy the eternal purposes of God but to fulfil them and reveal their fullness.
He established the true Path of Righteousness.
He opened the Holy Highway.
And that Highway ultimately leads toward the glorious Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
Therefore, the Spirit is calling once again:
Come! Let us take hold of the Ancient Paths.
The time of the Ancient Drops is upon us.
Mantles are falling.
Fresh oil is flowing.
New wine is being poured out.
Kingdom assignments are awakening.
The glory of God is being revealed through vessels surrendered to His purposes.
Jesus Christ is advancing His Kingdom and reclaiming ground for the rule and reign of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
“He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan.” 2 Kings 2:13
The Hebrew word olam, often associated with antiquity, eternity, and enduring time, carries the sense of that which stretches beyond the visible horizon—hidden, perpetual, and everlasting.
This is the mystery of the Ancient Paths:
They come from eternity,
they are revealed within time,
and they lead us deeper into Christ.
THE ANCIENT DROPS ARE FALLING.
Who will discern them?
Who will receive them?
Who will carry them forward for the glory of the King?
